women’s circle: reconnecting to the feminine

Womens Circle 300x200 workshops

with corinne blum

when: every other wednesday | 6:30-8:30pm | june 13 – august 22
price: £15 drop-in | £72 (six sessions)

Through the many shifts and changes we are experiencing on a global level these days, the feminine is being called for more than ever. Our evolution cannot depend on singly focusing on the masculine or the feminine alone but rather the perfect balance of the two. But to evolve into balance, equality and equanimity we need to first rediscover and reshape what it is to be a woman today. By connecting and defining what it is to be in the feminine we will not only bring equilibrium to the masculine and feminine in our world but we will set a new conscious direction for the generations that are to follow.

The feminine is about creativity and creation through flow, receptivity and nurture. These qualities have found themselves marked as weaknesses and flaws in our ability to be strong and powerful. It is time to see that our greatest gifts are not weaknesses at all but a great and gracious force that can change the world.

These women’s circles will include:

• Exercises to connect to and develop the feminine
• Releasing and redefining our beliefs of the feminine and masculine
• Shared discussion
• Visualisations and movement

This women’s circle is a yogic circle, focusing on supporting one another to evolve and fully embody the spirit and nature of the feminine. Other types of circles may include social or therapeutic, and though chatting or processing can be very valuable and enjoyable, a yogic circle is one that takes us beyond our own perspective, connecting us to the higher self, the divine and our intuition. The space is sacred and should feel safe so that you feel fully comfortable to open into the magic and power of the unknown.

“Corinne’s women’s workshop was a wonderful way to connect and build trust and love with other women, so that our true power can shine through. She embodies only the most positive aspects of the feminine and masculine, truly living her authentic self!” Jessie, London

healing through constellations

with sargam deborah picker

when: sunday 24 june | 1-4:30 pm
price: early bird £20 until 10/6/12 | £25 thereafter

images 1 150x150 workshopsConstellations therapy is a powerful three-dimensional way of exploring and resolving problems as well as healing emotional, psychological or systemic issues therapeutically. It uses other group participants as ”representatives” to stand in for significant people in the issue-holder’s life e.g. family members, colleagues, partners etc, or for more abstract concepts such as feelings, places, religions, homes, jobs. This process helps obstacles to be removed and healing resolutions to be invited in.

Participants usually gain as much from being a witness or representative as from being an issue-holder. In this introductory afternoon all group members will have a chance to experiment with this method, as well as the opportunity to work through an issue for one or possibly two issue-holders.

  • A powerful 3-dimensional method of exploring and resolving problems and issues,
  • Insightful and revealing work
  • Can really promote change and healing in your relationships, family systems, work, inner world, life
  • Any issue can be constellated, however abstract or unusual

Being a representative in one of your workshops was really profound for me. It gave me several insights into myself and helped me to shift my perception of something really important. I’d highly recommend the process and your holding of it to anyone“. C.B.

from pain to purpose: movement workshop

with corinne blum

when: saturday 7 july | 10am-12:30pm
price: £25

DSC 0149 2 150x150 workshops

To discover our greatest wound is to unveil our greatest gift. Barbara Brennan said, “The only way to remember who we are, to create our lives the way we want them, to create health and to feel safe, is to connect fully once again to our core.“

By going into the body and connecting with our deepest wound, we find that what we have been most afraid of is in fact the very thing that will liberate and bring us into absolute fulfilment. As we step closer towards our wound we realise that the pain is not the wound itself but our constant defending of it. By observing and listening to what it has to offer us, the message it holds, we find that our transformed pain is the path to our purpose.

In this workshop we will:

  • Connect with our original wound
  • Discover the beliefs that support our original wound
  • Use the body as a guide to release our original wound and the immense power and energy is holds

Please wear comfortable clothing as we will be doing gentle movements.

yoga 140 150x150 workshops

Charlotte will firstly explain how we can be affected by the world around us without even noticing and how to help ourselves cope with practical and realistic nutritional and lifestyle tools. The main yoga session then provides practical antidotes to the stresses of modern life – from the postural issues of sitting on chairs and hunching over computers to the ‘busy brain’ effects of constant stimulus and psycho-social pressure. You will be guided to let go and relax with the breath to prepare the body for strengthening and stress-relieving postures, before coming down to restorative postures and full relaxation.

•    3 hours to bring together how elements of modern living can cause health and weight ripple effects in our bodies and minds – a different topic and focus each time

•    Starting with an hour’s talk to lead organically into two hour’s yoga practice

•    Initial talk to interweave nutritional, lifestyle and attitude elements to help us cope optimally in the modern world and enjoy health and quality of life

•    Leading naturally into breath work, asana (posture) practice and relaxation methods to illustrate points made and truly feel and imprint the effects to help anchor your innate coping mechanisms

12th May –  Breaking stress-craving cycles – We all have those things we turn to for soothing and taking out of the present moment when stress hits. Whether yours is chocolate, wine, shopping, endless TV or picking a fight, looking at how we deal with stress through food, breath and relaxation helps us break the cycles that turn us to behaviour patterns we may want to change. In the yoga practice we will explore how managing our reactions to both relaxation and stronger poses can help us adapt to stress off the mat and react less towards these negative coping patterns.
