This Yoga Basics course is an introduction to the fundamentals of Hatha Yoga.
During this 4 week course you will learn some of the basic asanas in Hatha Yoga, including forward bends,back bends, standing poses, twists, balances, inversions and hip openers. You will also learn the 7 moving principles, helping to bring the body into alignment and do some simple breathing exercises.
This course is limited to eight people so that you can receive personal attention to support you in building your practice from a healthy start.
Suitable for: Complete beginners and people who may have been to a few classes, but would like to develop a more regular practise.

Yoga is a profound physical and spiritual practice that can be practiced by everybody. But where do you begin?
This course is designed to help you begin your yoga journey with clarity and a basis on knowledge in the poses and alignment principles of yoga enabling you to feel comfortable to join other drop in yoga classes. With emphasis on the form and connection of body and breath, you will learn to work safely with your own body and flexibility. You do not need to be able to touch your toes to begin!
Through the basic yoga poses and series, this course will challenge you to develop strength and flexibility and give you greater physical awareness and understanding of the poses as well as the confidence to go on in your yoga practice.
For returning students, this course can remind you of the basics of yoga form, alignment, and sequence allowing you to restart your practice with deepened awareness.

Yoga Basics Plus aims to introduce variations to the basic postures (asana), to develop and advance breath work (pranayama), while exploring philosophies and relaxation techniques (meditation) to deepen your practice.
The four consecutive classes will be structured to maintain and develop your basic practice, while progressively adding alternative flow sequences to inspire your sense of spontaneity and creativity.
Yoga is for everybody! It should be fun, and feel good! Yoga Basics Plus offers you the chance to learn how to find your way of practising that suits your body, no matter what style of yoga you choose to move into.

Yoga Kids Club offers classes that expose children to the principles of yoga. In a non-competitive and fun-filled environment, students will explore postures while learning about mindfulness and imaginative relaxation techniques. Additionally, the classes convey lessons in social skills, positive thinking and self-esteem whilst having fun with other kids.
